ACI participates in a UN agency task force, under the active leadership of the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and regular information exchange amongst a broad group of aviation stakeholders. ACI's most recent message to members is copied in below.

Narita airport is closely monitoring the situation and their updates can be found on the airport website http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/.
Travelers visiting Japan by air are also advised they can consult a dedicated website established by the Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau: http://www.mlit.go.jp/koku/flyjapan_en/.

ACI World continues to participate with a UN agency task force monitoring the radiation levels in Japan and the implications on persons travelling to and from Japan. To view the latest News Release, issued by ICAO on 14 April 2011, see http://www2.icao.int/en/NewsRoom/default.aspx
The UN agency task force assesses that current radiation levels are well within safe limits from a health perspective and do not pose a risk to persons travelling to or from Japan. Similarly, the task force considers that screening of radiation for health and safety purposes at airports around the world, is currently unnecessary.
As reported in Bulletin 33, Narita Airport Authority continues to publish a situation report and the environmental radiation levels at the airport, on its website at http://www.narita-airport.jp/en/.
